Bitsch (Valais)

Bitsch is a village in the canton of Valais with around 1122 inhabitants, located at 692 metres above sea level. The village can be reached via a railway station with a stop on request as well as by bus lines, including the Sandbitsch stop. There are shopping facilities in the village, such as a Migros partner branch, as well as a football club called FC Bitsch. Surrounded by the landscape, the region offers opportunities for hiking. Last year, a forest fire broke out in Bitsch.
