During this experience, each participant receives their own owl, which is carried throughout the roughly one-and-a-half-hour hike. The route starts behind the providers' house in Hägendorf and leads through the Teufelsschlucht. The owls involved are also used as therapy owls and visit retirement homes, among other places. The animals weigh only a few hundred grams, so carrying them is not strenuous. The hike takes place twice a week and costs 50 francs per person.
