The First Cliff Walk starts at the top station of the First cable car near Grindelwald and leads along a bridge that ends in a dead end. The ground drops away steeply, which makes the walk challenging above all for people with a fear of heights. From here there is a view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. All that is needed for a visit is a cable car ticket; no additional ticket for the Cliff Walk is required. Staying overnight at the nearby mountain inn makes it possible to experience the spot early in the morning or late in the evening without many other visitors, and in bad weather wild animals such as foxes, chamois or ibex may also be seen.
