The guided tour of the Gösgen Nuclear Power Plant includes security checks similar to those at an airport. Visitors get a look at the control room and the huge machine hall, where the turbines used to generate electricity can be observed. Part of the tour leads to the 150-metre-high cooling towers. An exhibition shows, among other things, a cloud chamber that makes natural radiation visible, explains nuclear fission and allows visitors to try out a Geiger counter. An interactive area invites visitors to generate electricity themselves. The three-hour tour ends with snacks and drinks.
