Webermühlebahn

The Webermühlebahn in Wettingen is one of the most unusual railways in Switzerland. The public inclined lift connects the Webermühle residential estate directly with Wettingen railway station and, with a route length of only around 27 metres, is considered one of the shortest public funiculars in Switzerland. The small railway overcomes just under 20 metres in altitude and spares residents the steep walk up to the station. Despite its modest size, it is a technical curiosity and a popular photo subject for railway and technology enthusiasts.
