Cow Universe at Trauffer

At the Cow Universe at Trauffer in Hofstetten, visitors learn everything about how the well-known wooden toys are made. The tour leads through a forest featuring the world's largest wooden cow mobile and past the "Zeigerei", the demonstration workshop showing the production process from the block of wood to the finished wooden cow. In the workshop at the "Schnitzbar", you can carve and paint your own wooden cow from 12 noon for 35 francs, including horns, ears, bell and tail. There are no rules for the painting, and staff are on hand to help. There is also an experience world dedicated to Trauffer's music as well as a cow mirror maze.
