Cow Pat Lottery Lenk im Simmental

Unique
Bern

The cow pat lottery in Lenk im Simmental has been organised by the Skiclub Lenk for over 20 years and is one of the region's best-known winter traditions. A field measuring 10 × 10 metres is divided into 400 numbered squares. Visitors buy tickets and hope that one of the two Simmental cows will leave its cow pat on the corresponding square. Attractive cash prizes await the winners. Alongside the lottery itself, a relaxed supporting programme with food and entertainment creates a sociable atmosphere. The event combines humour, tradition and village community spirit and is a special experience for locals and guests alike.
