Kyburg

The Kyburg houses a former prison, where inmates were lowered down the tower on a rope, as well as scribblings left by prisoners out of boredom. The torture chamber contains, among other things, a well-preserved iron maiden. In the To-Do room, visitors can try on knights' armour, chain mail or medieval clothing themselves. There is also access to a crypt containing one of the oldest sarcophagi in Switzerland, as well as a treasure chamber discovered in 2016 and an armoury.
