The Maison du Gruyère is located right next to the railway station of Gruyères and presents the history and secrets of cheesemaking in an interactive exhibition. From the exhibition there is a direct view into the production hall where the Gruyère cheese is made. There are interactive stations such as a milking machine and a quiz, as well as exhibits that can be touched. The lower floor with the shop is freely accessible, the upper part with the exhibition costs 7 francs per person, including three cheese samples. The building also houses a cheese restaurant. The place can be reached by SBB, among others with the GoldenPass train from Bern via Bulle to Gruyères.
