At the Mammut raft race, several teams compete against each other with self-built rafts and cover a stretch of about twelve kilometres on the river. The route passes intermediate points such as Leutschwil and Sitterdorf, where weirs have to be crossed and in some cases slid down. Near Bischofszell and Kradolf, the stability of the rafts is put to the test by stronger currents. At the finish in Kradolf, the rafts are lifted out of the water with a crane, and there is also a can-shooting stand there.
