Original Knie circus wagon at the Hotel Ermitage

The circus wagon stands next to the Hotel Ermitage in Kandersteg, right on the Ösch, and offers a bed, living room, kitchen and balcony in a compact space. The furnishings include a stove that has to be fired up by the guests themselves, a cosy bay window and running water that must be pumped by hand. Old pictures and photographs on the history of the Knie circus wagon are displayed on a work table inside the wagon. About 10 metres below the wagon there is a 38-degree hot pot, available exclusively for the evening and served with a drink of your choice. A dinner can also be enjoyed at the Hotel Ermitage, although it is not included in the overnight price; a separate WC is available there as well.
