Dachsen Reindeer Farm

In Dachsen, in the north of the canton of Zurich, lies the canton's only reindeer farm. Visitors can watch the reindeer up close and pet them, including their hair-covered antlers, which contain many nerve endings. During the moulting season the animals shed their winter coat, and at times there are young animals only a few days old. Right next to the reindeer farm there is a strawberry field for self-picking.
