Saas-Fee

The music video for 'Last Christmas' by George Michael was filmed in Saas-Fee more than 40 years ago. The 40-strong film crew shot one scene at the Felskinbahn as well as further scenes in the village. For the Christmas dinner scene, a chalet with a typical hay barn served as the setting, while the interior shots were taken in what was then Chalet Tita, today the cultural centre of Saas-Fee. Chalet Tita was chosen because of the space it offered the crew and because it had a fireplace. During the shoot, George Michael stayed in a suite at the Walliserhof Hotel.
