Saint-Gingolph is a village that lies in Switzerland and France at the same time. The border follows a river that flows right through the middle of the village. Companies and residents can have both a Swiss and a French telephone number. Residents are buried in the French part regardless of their nationality, and in everyday life both Swiss francs and euros are used. In the middle of the village there are also customs posts for cross-border traffic.
