Rail Bike Ramsen

The rail bike starts in Ramsen in the canton of Schaffhausen and runs along a 3.4 km stretch to Hemishofen. Various models are available, including one with two sets of pedals and two additional seats as well as a newer model with three sets of pedals that can be used at the same time and a lounge for placing drinks. The ride reaches up to 20 km/h and requires little effort. Along the way the route crosses a real level crossing, at Hemishofen station the museum in the former station office can be visited, and afterwards the route leads across a bridge over the Rhine as well as a section with a gradient of 12 % towards Etzwilen.
