Sky Metro Zurich Airport

The Sky Metro runs automatically every three minutes between the main terminal and Dock E of Zurich Airport. No separate ticket is required for the ride, but a valid flight ticket or a corresponding document. The train has no rails; instead it is pulled by a steel cable and glides on an air cushion. The 1.1-kilometre route runs directly beneath runway 28. Passengers can also ride the Sky Metro back again and pass through passport control once more.
