The Swiss Science Center Technorama in Winterthur is one of Switzerland's most popular destinations and the country's only science centre. Instead of merely looking at exhibits, visitors can experience the natural sciences with all their senses. More than 500 interactive experiment stations await on over 6,500 square metres, where you can try things out, discover and marvel for yourself.
Whether lightning bolts several metres long, giant soap bubbles, optical illusions, magnetic fields, lasers or water experiments: at the Technorama, science becomes an adventure for children and adults alike. The spectacular live shows are especially popular, such as the high-voltage demonstration with real lightning or the oxygen show. Many visitors easily spend a whole day in the exhibition and keep discovering something new.
Another highlight is the outdoor area «Technorama Draussen». There, natural phenomena such as water currents, wind forces and worlds of sound can be experienced in the open air. The Technorama is ideal for families, school classes, technology fans and anyone who enjoys experimenting first-hand. Even in bad weather, it ranks among Switzerland's best excursion destinations.
