In the discovery world of the Swiss Ornithological Institute Sempach, visitors learn how native birds struggle to survive, accompanied by the sound of birdsong. With a ring on their finger, information about individual birds can be activated at various stations, for example about food in relation to body weight or about habitat, where it is shown that out of nine eggs often only one blue tit survives. In the feather room it is possible to observe how birds change their plumage, and another station explains how birds fly. At the end, the ring shows which bird one resembles most. In addition, there is a bird show with a documentary as well as a symphony station on the background of birdsong.
